Lots of love and gratitude!
For those of you that don't know, we met when we were seniors in high school, on an October evening in 2014. Kyle went to school at La Cueva and Magda went to St Pius. The night we met, Magda's girlfriend group met up with the guys from La Cueva after the balloon glow and snuck into the Rail Yards in downtown Albuquerque (when it was still the old and scary Rail Yards). And yes, it was the boys idea.
We lost touch after high school and throughout most of Magda's college years but reconnected in the summer of 2019 when Kyle got a new puppy (Izzy) and Magda was dying to meet her. We went to lunch together and the rest was history! We made it official on September 12th 2019, the day Kyle got home from a two week long elk hunt.
Kyle introduced Magda to fly fishing early on in our relationship and Magda became hooked (haha). It has become our favorite thing to do together all summer long, every summer. When we were planning a fly fishing trip the first weekend in July, Magda didn't think anything of it. In the midst of fishing, Kyle set up his camera to "take photos" and pressed record instead, and got down on one knee. It was just us, and it was perfect. Kyle had his lovely sister, Taylor, drive all the way up to meet us and take photos immediately after (THANK YOU TAYLOR!).
